Makamaka Beach Burger Cafe was born in Barceloneta in 2012, but the friendship among its creators goes further back. First of all there was Andrea, a familiar face in the international cocktail scene. Then there was Steef, a seasoned architect and conceptual madman. The two started off as housemates in Amsterdam where they became fast friends. When Andrea got the chance to open his own place in Barcelona, he didn’t forget his promise to involve his friend. The duo teamed up with a crew of Dutch guys that share the same passion for good food, great people, and girls on rollerskates. And so a beach burger cafe was born!
